Emily Zuzik Only Moment

When I first started Now I’ve Heard Everything, Emily Zuzik seemed to be ubiquitous.  She was always around The Rockwood Music Hall and The Living Room (among other places), sometimes playing her own shows, sometimes backing up other musicians.  And her record, The Wild Joys of Living, was one of  the Now I’ve Heard Everything Best Albums of 2011.

So when Emily left New York City and move to Los Angeles 2 1/2 years ago, a big void was created.  During that time, Emily has concentrated on things other than music.

But we finally have a new song from Emily.  Titled The Only Moment in the World, it blends genres, and Emily creates a moody sonic landscape.  Only Moment is also part of a multimedia project.  As Emily explained:

The song was created as part of a digital pop-up book project, A Picture is Worth…, published by Proseed Books, which paired musicians and photographers together to create a work based on the imagery provided. Drawing on images of industrial French river towns at the break of day, the song follows a couple as they wind their way along the water and through a history of their affair.

You can listen to The Only Moment in the World by clicking the player below (and there is a link to iTunes to buy it as well).
